9 submissions were received for Best Diversity and Inclusion Program, with 4 recognised as finalists, and 10 submissions were received for Best Learning Culture in an Organisation category, with 2 recognised as finalists. Australia Post and Inkling Group received finalist recognition in both categories for their ProjectME entry.

“Australia Post has made a long-term commitment to improving gender balance and investing in initiatives such as leadership and career programs, as well as mentoring and sponsorship, to support the development and advancement of women, and to develop the next generation of diverse leaders”,

said Inkling Group CEO and Co-Founder, Sophie Hampel.

“As an organisation, they know that a diverse and inclusive workplace allows them to better serve their diverse employee and customer groups, and they recognise that they have an important role to play in building an inclusive community with safe, equitable, and fulfilling work for their extended workforce. It has been such an honour to partner with Australia Post since 2015 and we are thrilled to see ProjectME and Australia Post achieve this recognition and send our congratulations to all other finalists and winners”.

Finalists and winners for each category were determined by a judging panel of 3-5 subject matter experts who objectively assessed each nomination.

The AITD Excellence Awards recognise achievement in training, learning and organisational development, and are about setting new benchmarks for AITD members by recognising and sharing quality and innovation across the L&D spectrum. The awards run every year, with entries opening in the first quarter of the year and the winners announced at an exciting event in Melbourne towards the end of the year.
